CBBS research groups

Approximately 50 applicants from 35 institutions from 11 countries worldwide competed for CBBS after international tender to set up and establish a new research group at the neuro-site Magdeburg. Under competitive conditions contenders were evaluated by a recruitment commission towards a) academic excellence, b) fit with the location and c) applicability of their research and practical relevance.

As a new group leader at the faculty of economics and management, Dr. G. Jocham was recruited. Dr. M. Hanke was selected as junior professor in psychological methodology – focus: analysis of complex data. Furthermore, Mrs. Dr. Dr. C. Preuschhof was appointed junior professor in clinical developmental psychology - focus neurocognitive development.

This research group model had already been successfully in place for several years at CBBS as SFB 779 associated research group "Molecular and Systems Neuroscience Pharmacology" under the former leadership of Mr. PD Dr. R. Stumm, who was appointed in October 2009 as a professor of pharmacology at the University of Jena.
